Last Saturday was FILLED with Scouting: GIRL AND BOY!
The Brownies voted at the beginning of the year that they wanted to AGAIN go horseback riding.
Sigh...
And though they sold a LOT of cookies, the troop couldn't quite pay for all the girls. So, we asked their parents to choose: sell more cookies, tell the girls they can't horseback ride, or pay for it themselves.
They chose the latter...
So off we went to Happy Trails. The girls had a blast, of course.
Here is a picture of Teresa goofing off; she looks like Papa riding his motorcycle! ;)
As soon as Teresa and I got home, it was off to bring Alan to the fire station. This was the last requirement for Alan to earn his Tiger badge!! Of course, all the boys L O V E D it!!
They were really good listeners. They wanted to see EVERY tool.
They even took turns going to the bathroom...it was on the tour...
The firemen did a good job of letting the boys learn about all the equipment. They even took them on a ride around the block, sirens BLARING and everything!!
But, the highlight of the trip was
GETTING TO PLAY WITH THE HOSE!!

Wow!! What a great day!
Sawyer said the kids' names and wanted to look at them on the computer. So, I opened up the pictures for him. He said "hat!" when he saw Teresa on the horse, and said "Hi!" when I enlarged the picture of Alan smiling in the group. I think Alan had the best Firestation tour ever!

Looks like a fun weekend. Did you go on the same horse ride as last year? Is Trigger still there? The girls want to say Hi to Alan and Teresa.
