Bills 54 Chiefs 31

Last weekend, we went to the Bills game (AKA in this area of the country as the Kansas City Chiefs game.) Jim has never, I repeat, never seen an NFL game Live (except the Pro Bowl.) When we found out the Bills were playing in Kansas City, we bought tickets as soon as they were available from MWR. (too bad...once the season progressed and the Chiefs were doing so bad, the stadium cut the tickets in half...but that's OK)

We spent a long time thinking about what we were going to wear and bring to the stadium. The game, after all, was during a weekend in November...in Kansas. We could have FROZEN. But, as you can see, it was a beautiful day! We were wearing long-underwear and our winter coats which was perfect. It was in the 50's.

I convinced Jim that he should wear his Bills sweatshirt. This seemed like a good idea right up to the point that we heard the cop directing traffic yell ahead to his buddies, "Hey! That guy is wearing a BILLS SHIRT!" Then we thought it might not have been a good idea.

Walking to the stadium was a bit nerve racking. We didn't want to get beaten up or anything. We did get some dirty looks and one guy stopped Jim and told him to buy Alan a Chiefs hat or else it was Child Abuse.

Once we got in to the stadium and saw the other Bills fans sitting in the MWR section, we felt better!

I must point out something now. When I was younger, we went to an Army/Navy game once and it was freezing. My mother brought sleeping bags for us to sit in, which was brilliant. So, when we were thinking about warmth, I immediately thought of sleeping bags. AND Thanks to Aunt Patti, our kids have the perfect sleeping bags for a stadium. She gave them these sleeping bags in 2002 for Christmas. They are nylon, have a zipper at the bottom (which their feet can stick out from) a hood and arm holes.

PERFECT!

Once the Bills started to make a few touch downs, Jim felt much better wearing his Bills shirt.

And the final score! Apparently, not only did the Bills WIN, they won in RECORD FASHION! The Chiefs have NEVER let another team score so many points!!
