Bayfest 2007

In my quest to make sure the kids have a good summer, we went to Bayfest yesterday in Kaneohe. I know what you are thinking: I HATE crowds and I HATE carnivals. Yes, these are true statements. But, we went at 1pm (most people go after 5pm because there are big name entertainers) AND proceeds go to MWR, so it is not soooo bad...

First, we looked at the military vehicle static displays. Brings back memories of when I used to go with you, hon, to the airshow in Louisiana. Remember that jambalaya? AWESOME!... anyway...

Here are the kids on top of some kind of vehicle. They HAD to climb to the top of every single one....they must have been 20 feet up!

The Ferris wheel had a GREAT view of Kaneohe Bay!

They LOVED the roller coaster.
(though, they only wanted to go on it once)

(which they went on 3 or 4 times...once with me!)

In the middle of our time at the carnival, we took a break, got some water and cotton candy (yellow of course) and watched a show put on by the Polynesian Cultural Center. Our Favorite!
